Khata: A Home for Comfort, Self-Expression, and Ukrainian Heritage
When you step into Khata, you’re not just entering a store—you’re stepping into a home away from home, a place that embraces you with warmth, kindness, and community. For us, Khata is about more than beautiful things; it’s about creating a space of safety and self-expression, where everyone can feel free, supported, and authentically themselves. Our vision is rooted in a deep sense of feminine love and nurturing that feels as pure and inviting as childhood.
Each item we offer, from vintage finds to handmade home goods, carries the soul of a welcoming home. The blankets, candles, ceramics, and vintage garments aren’t merely decor or accessories; they are expressions of comfort and belonging, meant to make you feel stylish, cozy, and safe in your own skin. With each piece we curate, we invite you to find your own sense of home and style within yourself.
As proud Ukrainians, Khata embodies the cultural richness and artistry of Ukraine, honoring our roots with a selection that celebrates the handmade beauty of ceramics, pottery, glass, and paintings. Named after the Ukrainian word for “house,” Khata is designed to feel like a comforting embrace in the heart of the Lower East Side. It’s a place where the essence of home can be felt in every corner, from the carefully chosen vintage garments to the handcrafted decor items.
Khata is more than a shopping experience; it’s a gathering space. Whether you’re browsing for a unique gift, enjoying a complimentary coffee or matcha, or attending one of our community events, Khata offers more than just items—it offers memories. With over a decade of experience in fashion, we bring an eye for quality and craftsmanship that infuses everything in our store.
Welcome to Khata, your new home in the Lower East Side. We can’t wait to share this space, these moments, and this journey with you.
